Millicent Sarre is a cabaret artist, composer & lyricist, musical theatre actor, and performing arts mentor, brought up and working on Kaurna Land

Millicent has toured her original cabaret works Australia-wide. Her debut work Friendly Feminism was a four-time award-winner at Adelaide Fringe 2020, and her most recent solo show Millicent Sarre is Opinionated won ‘Best Cabaret’ of Adelaide Fringe 2023. With collaborators Jemma Allen and Rosie Russell, she is one-third of the award-winning comedy-cabaret trio Bisexual Intellectuals

Passionate about mentoring and educating young artists, Millicent has been a mentor of the Adelaide Cabaret Festival’s Class of Cabaret program since 2024, and was a featured artist in the festival’s 2024 opening gala. With co-writer Joseph Simons, she is currently writing music and lyrics for the new musical PRIMETIME, most recently featured in the 2025 Adelaide Cabaret Festival as the festival’s Musical-in-Development. As a music theatre performer, she has most recently worked on the Australian premier of Kimberly Akimbo (dir. Mitchell Butel, STCSA & MTC), understudying the show’s female tracks.

Millicent holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Adelaide, and graduated with a Bachelor of Music Theatre from the Elder Conservatorium in 2023.
